Natrang’s Mohit Sharma brings laurels to J&K

JAMMU, May 17: Yet another artist of Natrang has brought laurels and pride for the State of Jammu and Kashmir for being featured in role of Sevak Ram in the mega tele-serial ‘Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai’ which features every Saturday-Sunday on Star Plus Channel at 9 pm.
Born in 1986 to Kanta and Romesh Sharma, Mohit Sharma is a post graduate in Theatre Arts from University of Mumbai, after he graduated in Music from Institute of Music and fine Arts, Jammu.
Appreciating the success story of yet another versatile talent of Jammu, Natrang Director Balwant Thakur informed that Mohit started his career as a child artist in Natrang and devoted his fifteen years and remarkably acted in over 70 plays with more than 500 performances and has the credit of working under directors like PadamShree Balwant Thakur, Waman Kendre, Milind Innaamdaar, Ramesh Talwar, GovindNamdev, Himani Shivpuri, Mipham Otsal, Harish Khanna and Adil Hussain. He has also worked as an assistant director in various plays.
He has participated in more than 70 National Theatre Festivals. He has also the credit to perform in many national and International Theatre Festivals which were organized by Indian Council for Cultural Relations and held in Frankfurt, Belgrade, Yaroslavl, Moscow, Germany etc. Besides theatre, Mohit  has performed in lots many television serials too. He has also assisted in a Hindi movie ‘Guddu Ki Gun’ which was directed by Shantanu Bose and Sheershak Anand. In the movie ‘Guddu Ki Gun’,  Mohit also gave his voice in some of the songs and did a cameo in Amrinder Gill’s Punjabi movie ‘Sarvan’ which was produced by Priyanka Chopra and directed by Karan Gulani.
