NAUP demands fast track recruitments in J&K

JAMMU, Dec 29: National Awami United Party (NAUP) has demanded fast track recruitments in J&K on priority basis.
In a press conference here today Sandeep Singh, NAUP president urged upon the J&K Lieutenant Governor to start the recruitment process with changes as the present process takes years to complete the recruitment process and this process needs to be shorten with immediate effect.
Issue of overage youth of J&K whose number has crossed six lakh mark was also raised and Singh appealed to the Lt. Governor and Union Government to look into the matter and take necessary steps in this regard.
“This category of youth is out of employment age for both government and private sector jobs and UT administration should come up with innovative steps to help them,” he maintained.
The NAUP leader said that skill development institutions are going to take off as CIIIT is under construction and highly qualified youth need urgent employment as pandemic has badly affected the youth who lost their jobs.
“Now it is upto the government to start recruitment process on fast track basis to provide employment to six lakh unemployed youth,” he further said.
Karanjeet Singh, Pankaj Langoo, Rakesh Singh and Sham Lal Sharma were also present in the press conference.
