NAUP demands Statehood for J&K

JAMMU, Mar 14: National Awami United Party (NAUP) has demanded granting of Statehood to J&K.
In a press conference here today Sandeep Singh, NAUP president said, about three years have passed when J&K State was reorganized into Union Territory but still no perceptible change has emerged here.
He demanded that daily wagers, home guards and SPOs should be regularized immediately as they are facing the apathy of Government since years.
“BJP had promised to fulfill their aspirations but even after the lapse of three years nothing could be achieved,” Singh maintained adding: “On the name of employment and development BJP has only given soaring prices of essential goods and poverty.”
He appealed all the sections of society to strengthen NAUP which will become voice of common man.
Anil Dev Singh, Bupinder Sharma, Uttam Chand, Nater Pal, Parveen Kumar and Mohit Dalhotra were also present on the occasion.
