NAUP flays Govt for prevalence of child labour in country

JAMMU, Nov 14: National Awami United Party (NAUP) has flayed the Government of India for prevalence of child labour in the country.
In a press conference here today, Sandeep Singh Manhas, NAUP president said that it is an irony that children continue to work in factories and homes.
He said that the government claims that children and youth are future of India but without access to education and books, how bright future can be ensured to children.
Manhas demanded immediate action against those who engage minors for work in homes of government officials and said that PM Modi should enact new stringent laws to empower children and eradicate child labour.
The NAUP leader voiced for safeguarding future of India and said that it is time to take decisive steps to ensure bright and promising future for every child in India.
