JAMMU, July 12: National Awami United Party (NAUP) president, Sandeep Singh has flayed the working of Education Department.
In a press conference here today Singh said that in recent results of government school and private schools, all the private schools have scored well as compared to government schools where every teacher is having a minimum qualification of graduation and most of the teachers are even post graduates.
He said that even many private schools are not having highly qualified staff and their staff is also poorly paid.
“Teachers at private schools keep in their mind that if their results are not good then their job will be at risk but the same is not applicable in government schools,” Singh maintained.
The NAUP leader appealed LG Manoj Sinha to look into the education and health sector of J&K as both are the back bone of a society and both are very weak in J&K.
He said that teachers of government schools draw hefty salaries but still they fail to give desired results wherein their results even remain zero.
Singh appealed LG to issue instructions to all the government employees including DCs, to get their children admitted in government schools to stop the monopoly of private schools.
Manmohan Sudan, NAUP general secretary also spoke on the occasion.
