JAMMU, Nov 11: National Awami United Party (NAUP) president, Sandeep Singh Manhas here today started ‘Har Gareeb Banega Leader’ campaign.
NAUP leaders including Shikha Bandral, Arti Devi, Pinki Bhagat, Anju Devi, Geeta Devi, Devo Devi, Kamlesh Devi, Parveen Devi, Pushpa Devi, Billa Devi, Radhu Devi, Suman Devi, Poli Devi, Reenu Devi, Bandhana Devi, Kamlesh Devi, Arti Devi, Darshana Devi, Bodhraj, Balwan Chand, Parveen, Shakti and Rohit were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Sandeep Singh emphasized on the need for empowering the economically weaker sections of the society stating that a leader from humble beginnings can better understand the challenges being faced by common people.
He criticized the practice of past Governments and accused them of perpetuating nepotism and utilizing leaders merely as slogan creators.
Manhas claimed that NAUP has a commitment to being a Party to represent interests of poor and informed that NAUP has made preparations for upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
He said as NAUP launches ‘Har Gareeb Banega Leader’ campaign, it seeks to pave the way for more inclusive and representative political landscape.
