JAMMU, Mar 7: National Awami United Party (NAUP) activists here today staged a protest demonstration against Drugs and Food Control Department for failing to check the overcharging by medicine shops for masks and hand sanitizers.
Chintan Gupta, NAUP leader while leading the protest lambasted the administration for failing to check the illegally overcharging for masks and sanitizers.
“As soon as coronavirus knocked the doors of Jammu it gave an opportunity for looters to fleece terrified Jammuites,” he said.
Gupta further said that pathetic state of affairs could be gauged from the fact that even after the eruption of this exigency the administration is still mulling to establish a testing lab for coronavirus in Jammu.
Ankur Gupta, Rakesh Singh, Pankaj Langoo, Komal Sharma and others were also present in the protest.
