JAMMU, Nov 25: New India Literacy Programme (Nav Bharat Saksharta Karyakaram) was conducted here today at Government High School, Meen Sarkar under the chairmanship of Chief Education Officer (CEO) Samba.
Main objective of the programme was to aware community members about the importance of education particularly for the age group of 15 to 55 years.
All Zonal Educational Officers of district Samba along with teachers of the district participated in the programme.
The community members and PRI members who attended the programme were motivated and were educated that age is no bar for taking education.
The volunteer teachers who were designated for the task were asked to perform the activity with full zeal and enthusiasm.
At last the CEO Samba addressed the gathering and highlighted the community mobilization programme.
