Navdal Tirath Prabandhak Committee holds meet

JAMMU, June 13:  Navdal Tirath Prabandhak Committee was held at Roop Nagar Enclave to take stock of the condition of shrines and temples and other religious endowment of  KPs of Tral, Awantipora, in general and the annual Navdal Tirath yatra in particular.
The meeting resolved to launch a mass awareness campaign about the Navdal Yatra and acquaint people about its essence as it is related with the its essence as it is related with the culmination of annual Shri Amar Nath yatra,
The participants in the meeting expressed grave concern of the KP community about  the non implementation of prime demands of entire KP community viz Temples and Shrines Bill by the State Government.
As the religious places of KPs are the cultural treasures of Kashmir, not safeguarding them through an institutional mechanism amounts to gross discrimination with minority Pandits and abdication of constitutional responsibility by the Government of the day.
The meting was presided by J L Pandit and among others it was addressed by P L Bhat, H L Bhat, R K Koul, Subash Bhat , Sanjay Raina, Pooran Raina and R K Bhat.
