Navigation satellite launch Mar end: ISRO

CHENNAI :  Indian Space Research Organisation will  launch the 1,425kg Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System-IRNSS-1D– by March end after replacing a faulty transmitter.
According to Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) Director MYS Prasad, ISRO is planning to launch the satellite by the end of this month.
‘The replacement transmitter is getting ready and will be brought from our centre in Bangalore,” he said here today.    He said the faulty transmitter in the satellite will be replaced at SDSC.
The IRNSS-1D was supposed to be launched on March nine evening by Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-XL).   On March four, ISRO, however, deferred the launch after it found one of the telemetry transmitters in the IRNSS-1D was not working properly.
