JAMMU, Dec 20: Principal Secretary Tourism Department, Navin Kumar Choudhary today chaired a meeting to review the progress on the upgradation of the Tourist Reception Centre at Jammu Tawi Railway Station.
Navin enquired about the status of upgradation work and stressed upon the concerned officers of Railways and Tourism Department to work in close coordination for early completion of the project.
He asked for utilizing the place in a better way and stressed on providing the visitors and tourists all necessary information about the tourist spots of Jammu and Kashmir within the premises of the Centre.
Station Director Northern Railways Jammu, Chetan Taneja apprised the Principal Secretary about the plan for face lifting of the Railway Station Jammu to make it more attractive. He also sought support of the J&K government for the beautification of the Manwal, Ramnagar, Udhampur and Katra Railway Stations.
Director Tourism Jammu, Deepika Sharma; Deputy Secretary Tourism, Navdeep Wazir, besides concerned officers of Railways and Tourism Department were present in the meeting.
