JAMMU, May 4: Navneet Kour, a PhD scholar in SKUAST-Jammu, got best paper presentation award in oral category at National Conference on Materials for Sustainable Development and New Technology (MSDNT), held at Central University of Jammu.
The award was presented to her by Vice Chancellor CUJ, Dr Ashok Aima. The award carries a certificate of excellence, memento and a cash prize of Rs 1000.
The paper entitled ‘Karonda fruit: A source against lung cancer cells’, discussed about anticancer potential of Karonda from Kandi belt of Jammu region.
Presently Navneet is pursuing PhD in the Division of Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Sciences, under the supervision of Dr Vikas Sharma.
