JAMMU, Mar 28: The Navratra festival organized by Swami Paul’s Meditation Home concluded with “Puranahuti” of Mata Gayatri Yagna on Maha Navmi today.
During the festival of nine days, apart from Gayatri Yagnas, the Dhyan Sessions with kirtan and devotional singing and discourses by the spiritual head of the meditation home, Swami Paul were organized. Large number of devotees from various parts participated in the festival.
Through his discourses, Swami ji discussed various aspects of spirituality. Swami ji explained that through self realization we can experience the bliss that comes from the union with God in a life span in harmony and infinite.
“Everything in this world and every relation between human beings is temporary and perishable by lapse of time and it is only the relation of soul–the divine force in us with the almighty, the supreme power which runs the entire that remains forever. To recognize this joyous and divinely unique relation between soul and the God, man must first seek the knowledge of self through spiritual practice which in itself paves the way to connect it to the ultimate. As one achieve this union, all the worldly relations and material desires are forgotten and man is blessed with the real joy and peace in life”, he stated.
Swami ji explained that the true religion consists in the thorough spiritualization and universalization of outlook on life and the world. It consists in the realization of the essential divinity of man and the universe and the regulation of all thoughts, feelings and actions. The two world war, which inflicted untold sufferings on mankind are signal proves of the failure of humanism so loudly professed by the western progressive people and already there is shadow of the third world war in which horrible weapons of mass destruction are sure to the used if it cannot prevent in time. The gravest defect of the religion of humanity is that it leaves God out of the account all together. But without turning to God, human nature cannot be radically changed and unless there is such a change, no problem of human life can be solved and there cannot possibly be a really better and happier life for mankind, he further added.
