JAMMU, Dec 13: Nawabad Police during a routine naka at Bhagwati Nagar near 4th bridge on Tawi intercepted three trucks bearing registration No JK02X, 1697, JK02AA -2717 and JK02 W-5171 and rescued 49 bovine animals from them.
SHO Nawabad, Jaipal Sharma said that these bovines were being smuggled from Jammu to Srinagar in Kashmir valley. He said a case FIR No 205/13 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PC Act has been registered at PS Nawabad and investigation started. The trucks were also seized.
However the bovine smugglers managed to escape.
