Nawang Shakspo to attend Arunachal Literary Festival

LEH, Nov 2: Nawang Tsering Shakspo, a historian from Ladakh, has been invited to attend the prestigious Arunachal Literary Festival, (ALF) to be held from November 17 to 19, 2023 in Itanagar.
He has been invited to speak in the festival on the topic of literary trends in Ladakh.
Nawang is the former Head of Jammu and Kashmir, Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Leh and he has served as the Chief Editor for around 35 years. He is the author of a well known book on Ladakh, ‘A Cultural History of Ladakh’ and his autobiography was published under the title, Autobiography of a Ladakhi.
Presently Nawang is the Director of Centre for Research on Ladakh and publishes the journal Ladakh Review, under the auspices of Centre for Research on Ladakh and the journal continuously since 2015. While on the assignment in Arunachal Pradesh, Nawang is scheduled to interact with the scholars of Central Institute of Himalayan Culture Studies, Bomdila and to interact literary figures of Tawang Monastery, popularly known as Galdan Namgyal Lhatse.
