NC alone can face challenges ahead in State : Dr Kamaal

JAMMU, Dec 19: Additional general secretary of National Conference and former minister, Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal today said that National Conference alone has the capacity to face the challenges ahead in the State and steer the Jammu and Kashmir towards peace and prosperity.
Addressing party workers meeting at National Conference Bhawan here today Dr Mustafa Kamaal said NC is the natural destination for public spirited political activists to serve the people of the Jammu and Kashmir State. He said strong National Conference alone can meet challenges faced to the state. He urged the cadre to get ready to face any challenge ahead.
The NC leader further said that J&K is passing through difficult times and there is need for a collective effort to steer it to peace by maintaining religious and regional unity.
While recalling the key role played by National Conference during most testing times in making a turnaround in the situation and instilling sense of security and safety among people, Dr Kamaal dwelt upon the party’s historical role during most turbulent times.
“This spirit is needed to be invoked to ensure dignified and secured life for the people across the state”, he said adding that the youth have to play their crucial role in this regard.
“It is incumbent upon workers to reach out to the masses and highlight the policies and programmes of National Conference, which stands for unity and single entity of the State”, Khalid Najeeb Suharwardhy said and hoped that the cadre will perform its designated role in bringing about harmony in the State.
