NC  asks cadre to gear up for ULB, Panchayat polls

JAMMU, May 16: Provincial president of National Conference for Jammu Rattan Lal Gupta has directed all the district and block presidents of the party to gear up the cadre at grass-root level for the upcoming Panchayat and Urban Local Bodies elections.
He stated this while addressing functionaries of Jammu West constituency at party office here today. The meeting was presided by Chander Mohan Sharma District president Jammu Urban.
The senior NC leader said that the Union Territory administration has failed miserably on all fronts leaving the people of this sensitive region to fend for themselves. He asserted that only NC can fulfill the aspirations of the people of J&K and the party owes responsibility to display the best performance in the Panchayat, ULB or even the impending Assembly elections and pave the way for ending the miseries of people.
A threadbare deliberations were held on the upcoming Jammu Municipal Corporation polls crucial for the party. He asked the party cadre to focus on reaching out to the people at their doorsteps and get their issues resolved. He asked the party cadre to strengthen the base of the party at grass roots level by making the people aware about the key achievements during National Conference regime.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial secretary Jammu, Bushan Lal Bhat Ex-MLC, Vijay Lochan Incharge SC Cell, Pardeep Bali Provincial secretary, Vijay Lakhshmi Datta, Gurnam Singh Block president Jammu West.
