NC believes in empowering grass root workers: Sagar

SRINAGAR, Nov 11: General secretary of the National Conference, Ali Mohammad Sagar today said that PDP is run by oppressors, businessmen and corrupt bureaucrats.
Addressing a function organized at party headquarters here, Mr Sagar said, “National Conference believes in empowering grass roots workers and will continue to rally support for the complete eradication of corruption from the system”.
He further said that NC had offered clean faces as candidates in the Assembly elections unlike PDP which had numerous convicts and corrupt retired bureaucrats in the fray. “We have offered clean faces and have respected the rights and views of our workers. National Conference has a very civilized and disciplined internal system of democracy ever since the time of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and we continue to maintain a level of decency and morality in our politics”, he added.
Earlier, he welcomed former PDP candidate from Tangmarg Constituency, Sheikh Ghulam Mohiuddin into party fold.  Mohiuddin joined National Conference along with hundreds of his supporters and workers.
NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani was among others present on the occasion.
