JAMMU, Nov 3: Minister for Planning and Development, Ajay Sadhotra today emphasized for more and more empowerment of women, saying they are the role model in making society.
Addressing a largely attended meeting of National Conference (NC) women workers at Marh, he said that women have to play a major role in every sphere of life in building a healthy society. Today, the women have to keep equal pace with men in every field proving their caliber and capability which is less to none and there is a woman behind every success of man and the empowerment of women is must for leading a valuable and healthy social society.
Sadhotra further added that considering equal importance of women in the society, NC has given six mandates to the women candidates in the coming Assembly elections. He also highlighted the achievements of NC in every sector.
Among those who spoke on the occasion included Darshana, Nirmala (Panch), Sunita (Panch), Vijay Kumari (Panch), Darshana Devi, Sunita Devi, Bachno Devi, Beero Devi, Chanchala Devi, Babli Devi, Samitra Devi, Kamla Devi and others.
