JAMMU, Nov 18: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) reaffirmed its unwavering commitment for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s Statehood during a convention held at Vishwakarma Sabha, Swankha Morh, in Vijaypur area of district Samba.
While addressing the convention Ajay Sadhotra, former Minister and additional general secretary of JKNC, highlighted the party’s efforts and future aspirations for the region.  He  lauded the visionary leadership of Omar Abdullah, for spearheading the unanimous Cabinet resolution demanding the restoration of Statehood and the subsequent Assembly resolution advocating for the reinStatement of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status.
“These resolutions reflect the party’s determination to safeguard the Constitutional rights and dignity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he Stated.
Sadhotra emphasized that the National Conference has always prioritized the aspirations of the people. “The restoration of Statehood is not just a political demand but a step towards restoring the confidence and identity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
He reiterated the National Conference’s dedication to addressing pressing public issues. He stressed the importance of initiatives like “Har Ghar Jal, Har Ghar Nal,” urging their effective implementation to ensure access to clean drinking water for every household.
Abdul Gani Teli, Chairman of the OBC Cell JKNC, emphasized the party’s inclusive approach, highlighting Omar Abdullah’s role in establishing the OBC Advisory Board to address the community’s needs. “The National Conference is committed to increasing OBC reservations and ensuring social justice for all marginalized communities,” Teli remarked.
On this occasion several locals joined the party. Sadhotra welcomed them into the party fold.
Senior leaders Ayub Malik, Ashok Attri, Aslam, Puran Chand, Ragubir Singh Manhas, Naresh Bittu, DD Mehra, Som Raj Taroch, Harmesh Singh and others were also present.
Meanwhile,  Sajad Zahir Khan a prominent social worker joined the National Conference at party office Jammu today in the presence of senior party functionaries.
Welcoming Sajad Khan into the party fold Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial president Jammu urged the people to support the National Conference, as they believe it is the only secular party that can fulfill the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
