NC committed to equitable development of State: Gupta

JAMMU, June 3: Provincial President, NC, Rattan Lal Gupta today said that the National Conference (NC) is the only premier political party in the State which has contributed in all spheres of life.
He said that that the party is committed to develop the State on equitable development and that is why it has given a roadmap to develop the State on modern pattern with latest technological system.
He said the coalition Government headed by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has sanctioned a huge amount to develop sanitation system, construct lanes and drains, in Jammu and its surrounding areas. Keeping in view the requirement of drinking water, new overhead tanks are being built in the city”, said Gupta while addressing a meeting of party workers held here at Paloura.
The provincial president however said there are unscheduled power cuts in various areas of Jammu region adding to the woes of public. He asked the concerned authorities to ensure the minimization of these power cuts as the temperature in Jammu and its surrounding has crossed 44 degree.
MLC Vijay Bakaya in his address highlighted the achievements of Government particularly concerning Kashmiri Pandits. He said it is the sincere efforts of the Government that Jagti Township for Kashmiri migrants has come up in a shortest span of time and all the issues of KPs are taken up one by one.
Ex-Deputy Mayor, Dharam Veer Singh Jamwal said that due to his efforts the Municipal Corporation has given priority to develop the undeveloped areas.
Ex-Corporator, Ashok Manhas presented charter of demands to the provincial president and highlighted day-to-day issues of the area.
