NC communalizing Potha incident: Gupta

RAJOURI, Dec 25: Accusing National Conference (NC) of communalising Potha incident, Member Legislative Council and State vice president of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) advocate Vibodh Gupta has said that NC is speaking in the tune of Hurriyat leaders by trying to destablize the peaceful situation of the State.
Addressing press conference at Rajouri Vibodh Gupta said that Potha incident was result of some rift between families and police has taken stern action in it by arresting accused. He said that such incident should not happen in the society and BJP condemns any such killings but such acts must not be communalized. He said that National Conference is trying to destablize the situation by communalizing the issue and some senior leaders are relating the incident with attack of one community on the other which is not a fact. He said that similar incident happened in Samote area when one family of same community was killed a woman and her son with VDC weapon.
Lambasting NC over communal approach, Gupta said that NC is speaking the language of separatists and both have one mission of misleading people and disturbing situation on the name of community. He said that they are playing dirty politics on the deadbodies because they have no other issue in the State. He added that State Government is fulfilling the expectations of the people and pro people stance of the Government has frustrated NC who have get a soft way of targetting the Government by communalizing the situation.
Gupta said that BJP will not allow such parties to destabilize situation in the area. He said that mainstream parties must not speak the language of Hurriyat who are hell bent to destroy the nation by spreading venom of anti India and anti society slogans.
Expressing shock over the role of Congress leaders in adding fuel to fire in Potha, Gupta said that some people raised anti India and pro Pakistan slogans recently over Potha incident in front of senior Congress leaders who were part of protest. He said that such double standard approach of Congress is fatal for Indian society. He demanded that strict action should be initiated against those who were involved in anti India protest in the area.
