‘Vikramaditya needs to learn facts’

JAMMU, Mar 20: Bhara-tiya Janata Party (BJP) State spokesperson Brig (retd) Anil Gupta has advised Vikramaditya Singh, a defector to Congress, to learn facts and stop telling lies in order to promote his new party whose desperation is substantiated by the fact that it is begging for an alliance with (NC). He also termed NC-Congress alliance an eye wash and wake up call to Jammu.
Taking serious objection to the statement of Singh that border people are made to lead miserable life by BJP, Brig Anil Gupta, challenged Vikramaditya Singh to name even a single welfare measure instituted by the Congress in last four decades for the residents of border villages. “Vikramaditya, though new to Congress has very quickly learnt to tell lies and spread false hood, hallmark of Congress politics nation- wide. Other than shedding crocodile tears and exploiting the border residents for vote bank politics, Congress has done nothing for the border residents though it remained in power for most of the times,” alleged Brig Gupta. Congress needs to realise that in the digital era truth cannot be hidden for long and lies get exposed sooner than later, he added.
It goes to the credit of BJP that it has fulfilled all the promises made to the border residents because it understood their pain and worked relentlessly to ameliorate their sufferings. Except for five-marla plots in the rear, which were objected to by the security forces keeping in view the management of border areas, BJP has not only fulfilled the promises made in its vision document but gone much beyond that, claimed Brig Gupta.
BJP brought to an end the unjustified distinction between the LoC dwellers and border residents as applied by previous Governments including Congress and putting to an end decade old discrimination, stated Brig Gupta.
Modi Government at the Centre not only enhanced the monetary compensation in case of loss of human life to five lakh from one lakh but also increased the compensation for loss of cattle manifold, he added.
Brig Gupta, while commenting on Congress- NC alliance said that the former has not only surrendered to NC but has also conceded to their pro-separatist, Kashmir-centric, communal and divisive agenda.
The alliance between the two parties is not only opportunistic but a mere eyewash as well. It is anti-Jammu and aimed at promoting Kashmiri hegemony.
“Congress’s surrender implies acceptance of Greater Autonomy pushing the State back to pre-1953 and division of Jammu region on religious lines to promote Greater Kashmir agenda. Congress like the NC will oppose grant of citizenship to West Pakistan refugees, and inheritance rights for daughters. They will put an end to anti-terror operations and revive the over ground terror support network. They will revoke the ban on Jammat and promote radicalisation in Kashmir. Besides, they will ensure that Rohangiya and Bangladeshis Muslims are given permanent residence so that the demography of the region is changed and it also becomes insecure like the Valley”, warned Brig Gupta.
People of Jammu will do a great disservice to their future generations if they vote for the communal and divisive agenda of the NC-Congress Alliance. It would not be surprising if the PDP also joins hand to further marginalise the voice of Jammu and make it permanently subservient to Kashmiri hegemony. It clearly is a wake up call for Jammu, said Brig Gupta.
