JAMMU, Nov 17: In democracy the role of responsive opposition is very important for equitable development of society but National Conference and Congress have even failed to perform as good opposition and are indulging in making reckless political statements for publicity and pity gains at the cost of National interest and people of the State.
This was stated today by Sunil Sethi, chief spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir unit of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). Sethi said that at a time when country is becoming strong and dealing with enemy sitting across border and with stern resolve, these political parties sitting in opposition instead of supporting the Government are making statements to confuse and misdirect the people. “Asking for talks with enemy who is using all ways to cause damage to India shows their real motives”, he added.
The BJP chief spokesperson further said that while even in opposition BJP has always stood with Government when it came to external aggressions or internal separatism, which these opposition parties should take as a lesson. “People support and stand with political parties which stand for and with strong nation. Directionless opposition is leading to confusion and chaos but because of strong Government not much damage is done to cause of nation”, the Sethi added.
The senior BJP leader said that while people fighting Pakistan and it’s puppets within India are willing to give all sacrifices for the interest of nation and are facing all hardships with smile for the brighter future of country and lasting peace, opposition despite political washout in last elections have not come to reality. Warning political persons making reckless statements against National interest, Sethi said that Indians generally will not allow such efforts and that the enemies of the country has to be dealt with strong hands, as they understand this language only.
