Shamsher Singh Manhas, while addressing the gathering, said that the entire State of Jammu & Kashmir has entered into an era of development as Central Government has showered it with a number of mega projects and welfare schemes. Similarly, the previous PDP-BJP coalition in the State took a number of initiatives with sole motive of taking the three regions into new phase of development.
He said that Narendra Modi had promised to end corruption and hence e-tendering should be adopted by all departments for developmental works for more transparency and accountability.
Jugal Kishore Sharma said that development is the key to progress and prosperity and Modi-led NDA is working on this principle which is clear from the fact that during its one and half year rule, our State has got record funds and projects. He said that schemes have been designed for border people, farmers, youth, and weaker sections. He said that opposition parties do not have anything to claim and are making misleading statements, which is very unfortunate and appealed the people not to trust parties like NC and Congress, which are responsible for the backwardness, poverty, unemployment and plight of the border people.
MLA Chhamb Dr. Krishan Lal Bhagat appealed the MPs to help in getting the pending compensations of the border people whose agriculture land falls on the other side of the fencing. He also raised the issue of developing Malla Parote as a tourist spot.
