NC flays authorities for not developing industrial towns

JAMMU, July 27: Provincial NC president Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta has expressed disappointment over the deplorable condition of industrial towns in Jammu region and highlighted the dire state of industrial towns in Bari Brahmana, Samba and Kathua, which have been neglected badly and are left in very poor condition under the present dispensation.
In a handout Gupta stated that the present administration has miserably failed to develop these crucial industrial towns.
He lamented hollow policies adopted by the present dispensation which has hit the industrial towns of Jammu region.
Gupta emphasized that if NC is voted to power then these industrial towns will be revitalized and developed as modern smart towns with public parks and children play grounds, ensuring the availability of essential amenities for the residents.
He also expressed concern over heavy losses caused by flash floods and incessant rains in Kandi belts of Samba district and appealed to the Government to assess the damages and provide immediate compensation to the affected persons.
Meanwhile, in view of upcoming ULB polls in J&K, NC has constituted a Committee for Samba, Bari Brahmana, Vijaypur and Ramgarh Municipal areas to gear up its cadre for the polls.
The 17 member Committee has Sudagar Gupta as chairman and members are Satwant Kour Dogra, Master Noor Hussain, Sureiya Begum, Rajni Devi, Mohinder Singh, Chander Udhay Singh, Bharat Bushan, Ashok Kumar Attri, Ajay Sharma, Yashpal, Krishan Dutt, Joginder Kumar, Nar Singh, Satpal, Bua Dita and Sawarn Singh.
