JAMMU, Sept 2: NC provincial president Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta here today claimed that the visit of NHAI senior functionaries for on spot assessment of National Highway-44 especially at Sarore Toll Plaza area was mere eyewash to befool the people of J&K.
In a handout Gupta said that the Government had assured the protesting people to resolve the issue of Sarore Toll Plaza but nothing has been done in this regard till date.
He accused the BJP Government for betraying the people of Jammu on every significant issue.
“The Government has taken the people of Jammu for granted as it least bothers about their aspirations,” the NC leader maintained adding: “There is resentment among the people which is reflected from the Jammu Bandh calls becoming successful and the protests going unabated against illegal Sarore Toll Plaza and installation of Smart Meters.”
