SAMBA, Aug 20: J&K National Conference is sole guarantor for welfare of the masses especially for the women folk, and if people will pave way for this party to enter power corridors in J&K, their problems will vanish forever like a dream.
This was stated by Bimla Luthra, State vice president women wing and former MLA Jammu while addressing a convention of Party’s women wing at Lower Kotli in Bari Brahmana. She said National Conference is the sole guarantor of people’s interests. The NC cadre has to maintain close contact with the people for knowing their problems and finding ways to resolve them on priority.
Luthra said that NC has always stood for women rights and will continue to do the same. She castigated BJP leadership over its failure to contain inflation in the country. “Household budgets are dwindling under directionless policies of helmsmen,” she said, adding that women are the worst sufferers of unprecedented rise in prices of essential commodities.
Vijay Lochan, Chairman JKNC SC Cell, who was guest of honour, voiced concern over the plight of marginalized sections in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that they are facing step-motherly treatment under the current dispensation. He stressed that only the NC can guarantee equitable development and justice for all, regardless of their background.
Lochan emphasized the importance of unity and collective action in supporting the leadership of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah, as they have consistently worked for the welfare of the people. He urged the public to come together and strengthen the hands of the Abdullahs in the forthcoming Assembly elections, reiterating the National Conference’s unwavering commitment to peace, prosperity, and inclusive growth in the region.
The meeting was organized under the chairmanship of Sodagar Gupta, District president Samba and Rajni Devi District president women wing, with the support of Block president Shushma Devi.
Senior leaders Mohinder Singh, Rakesh Singh Raka, Swarn Singh, Prem Singh, Joginder Kumar, Bua Dutta and Paul Block were also present.
