NC holds demonstrations across Kashmir against new job recruitment policy

SRINAGAR, May 2: National Conference (NC) held protest demonstrations at all district headquarters across the Kashmir to protest against PDP’s anti-youth job policy and demanded its immediate revocation.
Senior NC Leaders along with thousands of supporters and activists marched at district venues across Kashmir to express solidarity with the unemployed youth of the State who would suffer due to this anti-youth measure by the PDP-BJP Government.
The protest march in Srinagar was taken out from NC Headquarters at Nawa-e-Subha Complex towards Regal Chowk and was led by Senior NC Leaders including NC General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, NC Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Former Speaker and MLA Eidgah Mubarak Gul, NC Central Zone President Ali Mohammad Dar, District President Srinagar Peer Mohammad Afaq, Irfan Ahmed Shah, Manzoor Ahmed Wani, Youth President Salman Ali Sagar besides various senior party office bearers and activists of the party.
The protest march in Baramulla was led by NC North Zone President Mohammad Akbar Lone and Senior NC Leaders Javaid Ahmed Dar, MLC Qaiser Jamshed Lone, Ghulam Hassan Rahi, Advocate Shahid Ali Shah, Ghulam Rasool Naz, Mohamamd Yaqoob Wani besides senior party activist Abdul Majeed Akhoon and NCSU Students’ Leader Rasik Bhat and numerous party office bearers and senior workers.
The protest march in South Kashmir was led by NC South Zone President Mohtarma Sakina Itto and Senior NC Leaders including MLA Homshalibug Abdul Majeed Bhat, MLC Dr Bashir Ahmed Veeri, MLC Showkat Ahmed Ganai, Former Legislator Mohi-ud-Din Mir, District President Dr. Mohammad Shafi, Imran Nabi Dar, Iftikhar Ahmed Misger besides various senior party leaders, activists and office bearers.
Speaking on the occasion NC Leaders lashed out at Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and the PDP-BJP Government for its New Recruitment Policy, calling it a cruel joke with the youth of the State.
“It is an anti-youth policy, which has potential of jeopardizing the career of unemployed educated, as those appointed will always feel sword hanging over them”, they said and warned the Government against testing the patience of youngsters.
