NC leader concerned over power, water crisis

JAMMU, June 19: Expressing concern over power and water crisis here, zonal NC president, Babu Rampaul today called for administrative plan to meet the crisis which repeatedly disrupts normal life.
Interacting with youth at Rehari, Rampaul alleged that J&K administration has failed to provide drinking water and power especially in Jammu Municipal Corporation areas like Rehari, Sarwal, New Plot, Subash Nagar, Paloura etc.
He claimed that the people are getting drinking water supply after 3-4 days and are facing unscheduled power cuts in this scorching heat but there is nobody to listen to them.
The NC leader claimed that situation may further worsen in the upcoming monsoon and sought an advance plan by the Government based on the experiences of previous years.
He said that the concerned agencies should be geared up for meeting the challenging situation that may arise due to water logging, choked drains and execute works under Smart City Project in various parts of Jammu.
Dr. Vikas Sharma, coordinator Jammu District Urban; B.D Dalhotra, Satpal, Arvind Jamwal, Aslam Choudhary and others also spoke on the occasion.
