BANIHAL, May10: National Conference (NC) district Ramban president, Sajjad Shaheen on Friday demanded adequate arrangements including uninterrupted power and water supplies for ensuing holy month of Ramzan in district Ramban.
Interacting with people during a tour to Seran area of Khari Tehsil, Shaheen underlined the need for the constitution of special market checking squads to keep check on profiteering, hoarding and black-marketing during Ramzan month.
He also demanded that the district level authorities must ensure availability of essential commodities in the market including vegetables and poultry besides timely supply of LP gas, kerosene, flour and sugar from the government depots to the consumers.
The NC leader further said that people have been complaining about the unscheduled power cuts that are taking place for the last few days especially during Sehri and Iftaar time in most of the areas in Banihal constituency.
