BANIHAL, Dec 4: National Conference (NC) District Ramban President, Haji Sajjad Shaheen today expressed concern over the erratic power supply in far-off areas of Banihal due to damaged transformers that have not been repaired for weeks together.
In a tour to Neel area, Shaheen, while interacting with the people there sought immediate repair to the transformers and restoration of power in the area.
He visited villages Chanjloo, Luroo, Gagoni, Dhak, Kharwan and Runigam where people complained about scarcity of drinking water for weeks together.
The road network was also in dilapidated condition.
He particularly referred to the bad shape of the Chamalwas-Neel road and Heewagan-Neel road saying that no effort is being made to upgrade these roads.
Shaheen urged the R&B Department for taking up restoration and up-gradation works on these roads on immediate basis.
On this occasion many political workers from Congress and PDP joined NC.
