JAMMU, Sept 8: Provincial president, National Conference (NC) Women Wing, Vijay Laxmi Dutta today visited various flood affected areas and expressed solidarity with the sufferers.
Accompanied by several women leaders, Dutta said that the people of entire State were with those who have lost their dear ones in the catastrophe and suffered damages due to floods.
While condoling the deaths caused due to natural calamity, Dutta lauded the efforts of Omar led Government in reaching out to the affected people and carrying out massive rescue and relief operations.
The NC leader complimented the Chief Minister for personally monitoring relief and rescue measures and made a fervent appeal to Government for deputing teams to the affected areas for assessing losses so that the sufferers may be adequately compensated.
Mrs Dutta particularly interacted with the women sufferers and sought first hand information about the damages caused due to torrential rains and flash floods.
