Srinagar, Aug 3: The provincial president of ruling National Conference, Nasir Aslam Wani’s residence was gutted at Rajbagh, Srinagar in a fire during last night.
Police said Nasir, and all his family members were present in the house when fire broke out but they escaped unhurt.
The fire appeared at around 2 a.m., and it spread over the whole house rapidly and devastated its two stories and damaged the ground floor.
The men and machinery of Fire and emergency services rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
Police said that the cause of fire and the cost of the property damaged are being ascertained.
