NC leaders welcome CM’s bold decision on employees

JAMMU, June 3: Senior National Conference leaders of Jammu province today welcomed the bold decision of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to enhance the retirement age of the employees from 58 to 60 years, as also the upper age limit for youths to obtain Government job from 37 to 40 years.
In a joint statement, the NC leaders also complimented Omar Abdullah for constituting a panel for studying all other demands of the employees, outside the ambit of Finance Department, within a month.
Describing the initiatives of the Chief Minister with regard to employees and unemployed as historic, the leaders appreciated the deadline of one month fixed by him for the Finance Department to finalise its recommendations on casual employees.
