NC Minority Cell Core Committee discusses issues

JAMMU, Mar 19: Core Committee meeting of NC Minority Cell was held here today under the chairmanship of Vijay Bakaya Ex MLC and Political Advisor to Dr Farooq Abdullah, president of National Conference.
The meeting was also attended by M K Raina private secretary to Dr Abdullah. It discussed elections of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), problems faced by migrants in getting ration after implementation of NFSA, PM’s employment package for displaced youth, announcement of proposed Coordination Committee for migrants by Central Government, holding of elections in migrant camps, allotment of shops to the deserving and genuine people at Jagti township and other day to day problems of the displaced people.
Mr Bakaya in his address asked the party men to go door to door and ask the migrant voters who are putting in the various wards within Jammu Municipal Corporation to get themselves enrolled as voters. He also asked them to ensure that Party gets maximum votes and emerges victorious in the JMC poll.
He appealed the migrant voters to vote for NC candidates as it is the only party which can work for the betterment, progress and prosperity of the displaced people.
Bushan Lal Bhat Ex MLC and chairman of the Cell expressed concern over the delaying tactics of the authorities in implementation of PM package for migrant youth while M K Yogi president of the Cell appealed the Government to release the full quota of ration in favour of migrants. He expressed anguish over the implementation of NFSA on migrants.
He  demanded that elections be held in camps on the basis of local bodies so that the representative leadership of the camps can emerge and also demanded immediate allotment of shops at Jagti.
Bal Krishan Bhat, Amit Koul, Ashok Koul, P L Talashi, S Harminder Singh and others attended the meeting.
