NC Minority Cell delegation calls on RC

JAMMU, Sept 27: A delegation of National Conference (NC) Minority Cell led by its president  M K Yogi met Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner  Suman here in his office. Besides discussing various burning issues pertaining to K P migrants the delegation also enquired about the progress of the memorandum which they had put before the Relief Commissioner some days back.
Relief Commissioner informed them that he has put up all the issues which were raised by the NC Minority Cell delegation before the Central and State Governments. He also assured the delegates that all the problems being faced by the migrant’s will be mitigated in near future.
Yogi warned the authorities not to test the patience of the poor migrants and said that all problems will be solved within 10 days otherwise NC Minority Cell will launch agitation against the authorities.
He also added that it is criminal negligence and violation of the fundamental rights of the Kashmiri Pandits leading an exiled life for last 27 years that Government is ignoring their problems.
Delegates from various camps accompanied the delegation and they alleged that various zonal  offices of indulging in corrupt practices and harassment in the name of verification for no reasons. Muthi TRT inmates are being harassed by the zonal officials on the pretext of verifications, they alleged.
Delegation also demanded strict action against the zonal officials who are harassing the poor migrants every now and than.
Later the delegation met the Deputy Commissioner Relief at office and requested to complete the pending bifurcation files without further delay.
The delegation was accompanied by Bal Krishan Bhat, Amit Koul, TK Koul,  Ashok Bhat, Ashok Dhar from Buta Nagar Camp and T K Koul from Muthi Camp.
