NC Minority Cell delegation calls on Relief Commissioner

JAMMU, May 9: A deputation of NC Minority Cell led by its working president M K Yogi called on Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner R K Pandita and discussed various demands of the displaced people with him.
The delegation demanded that migrants of RBA areas in Valley be issued the RBA certificates and implementation of schemes made by GoI for migrants from time to time.
It alleged that the authorities have so far not implemented these schemes. It demanded implementation of insurance scheme, bifurcation of ration cards and clearance of all pending files.
The issue of unjustified M Forms was also discussed by the delegation with RRC and he was urged to take up the issue with Election Commission of India and the voting system for migrants be simplified.
The delegation warned that migrants will boycott Assembly poll in case the procedure was not simplified.
The delay in issuance of ration and relief was also discussed with RRC by the delegation. The power supply and water scarcity problem faced by Jagti inmates were also discussed.
Ramesh Bharti, Bal Krishan Bhat, Bitu Ji, Amit Koul, Aswani Bhat, Ved Lal Pandita, B L Bhan, Chaman Lal Dhar and others were in the delegation.
