NC Minority Cell holds protest in front of RC Office

JAMMU, Oct 17: In order to register its strong protest against failure of State Government to supply the ration to Kashmiri migrants for last three months the National Conference (NC) Minority Cell held a demonstration in front of the Relief Commissioner’s Office here today.
The protest was led by president of the Cell M K Yogi and the senior leaders of the organization including its chairman and Ex MLC, Bushan Lal Bhat, Jatin Bhat, B K Bhat, Amit Koul, Ashok Kumar Bhat, R  K Koul, Raj Nath Fotedar, Ramesh Bharti and Vinod Ji addressed it.
The protestors said that the migrants were facing hardships due to failure of Government to provide ration for last three months and those who are only dependent on cash doles are unable to make their both ends meet as they have to purchase the ration from market at exorbitant rates.
The protestors also took the authorities to task for delaying the process of bifurcation, inclusion and issuance of State Subject certificates besides denial of RBA.
They also alleged harassment through the hands of the staff and alleged that the Government is looking totally mute spectator to the problems as it has failed to take concrete steps in settling them.
Yogi while addressing the rally said maximum families among relief holders are at the verge of starvation due to non availability of ration. He urged the authorities not to test the patience of migrants and take immediate steps in distribution of ration before 8th of every month and relief in the first week of every month.
B L Bhat while castigating the authorities said during the coalition rule the problems of migrants have compounded as never before they were deprived of the ration for months together.
