DODA, July 23: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Ghulam Mohd Saroori (MLA Inderwal) has alleged that National Conference leadership has misguided the Centre on the issue of package for earthquake victims in Doda and Kishtwar area.
Addressing a press conference today, Mr Saroori alleged that due to non-seriousness on the part of NC leadership and misguidance to the Centre, the earthquake- hit people of the erstwhile Doda district have been deprived of the relief.  He pointed out that despite several reminders by the Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, the package could not be  delivered to the quake affected people as the NC leadership did not took any interest and misguided the Centre.
Mr Saroori alleged that rejection of special package the Centre,  is major set back to the affected people of Doda and Kishtwar and NC leadership was mainly responsible for it. He also referred to the recent tremors in the area and said that there was great terror among the people of the area. Over 90 % houses have been damaged and people were still under shock and terror. They even today are spending nights outside their houses.  He alleged that NC leadership kept the Centre  leadership in dark and misguided them, causing massive damage to the people of these districts. The innocent people have been befooled and bereft of such much needed aid, he maintained.
