JAMMU: National Conference legislator Abdul Majid Larmi was today marshalled out of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly for disrupting House proceedings.
Mr Larmi attempted to snatch the mic of BJP MLA from Khour Dr Krishan Chander Bhagat, who was making a statement on terror attack on GREF camp in his constituency.
PDP MLA Abdul Majid Paddar raised objections to Larmi’s behaviour of not allowing the member to speak and snatching the mic which led to a verbal dual and mild clash.
Speaker Kavinder Gupta gave directions to marshall Larmi out of the House.
Meanwhile, NC and Congress MLAs termed it ‘unfortunate’ and demanded that Paddar be marshalled out.
Mr Gupta said that action was taken for his misbehaviour in the House. The NC and Congress members also blamed the Speaker for being biased and soft towards the BJP.
“The House will not run on BJP directions,” they said. (AGENCIES)
