NC pays glowing tributes to Bodh Raj Bali

JAMMU, Apr 21: National Conference leaders today paid glowing tributes to former minister and leader Bodh Raj Bali on his 16th death anniversary, with speakers highlighting his immense contribution in the development and progress of Jammu and Kashmir.
“A leader of par excellence, having high degree of political and administrative acumen, Bali has left an indelible mark on the political horizon of the State”, Additional General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal said at a function held at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan here this morning.
Dr Kamaal recalled the role played by the late leader in strengthening National Conference in the Jammu region and working for the betterment of the people.
Paying his tribute to the late leader, former minister and senior leader Ajay Kumar Sadhotra described Bali as a gentleman politician, who worked tirelessly for strengthening the bonds of amity and tranquility besides welfare of the people in different capacities in the government, irrespective of religion, caste and creed.
Dwelling upon the political career of Bali, State Secretary National Conference Rattan Lal Gupta said that the late leader worked tirelessly for the upliftment of poor and dow-trodden in different capacities.
Senior leaders and former MLC’s Th Kashmira Singh, Vijay Bakaya and Sheikh Bashir highlighted different facets of Bali’s political career and said his self-less work will continue to inspire the younger cadre.
Provincial Vice Presidents Vijay Laxmi Dutta and Anil Dhar, Provincial Secretary Pradeep Bali, Co-Chairman NC OBC Cell Abdul Gani Teli, Co-Chairman NC OBC Cell Vijay Lochan besides Waris Gill, Pyare Lal, Col. Retd Rashid Mohammed, Mohinder Gupta, Rashida Begum and Veena Oberoi also paid tributes to Bodh Raj Bali.
