JAMMU, Sept 18: The J&K National Conference today organised a workshop at party office to sensitize workers on electoral revision process going on in the J&K UT.
The workshop of the NC Central Zone was inaugurated by former minister and Central secretary JKNC, Ajay Sadhotra, wherein, Provincial president Rattan Lal Gupta was chief guest and President Central Zone, Babu Rampaul (ex-minister), presided over the programme.
While addressing the office bearers of various districts, blocks and other wings of the party, leaders laid stress on strengthening and mobilizing booth level workers for enrolment of new people. They said that Election Commission has set the ball in motion for special summery revision of photo electoral rolls from 15th of this month and it is duty of all office bearers of districts, blocks and other allied wings to aggressively participate in the ongoing summery revision so that every eligible candidate is included in the electoral rolls.
The leaders further urged upon the party office bearers to appoint at least one worker at all the polling booths for facilitating all those visiting these polling stations to get themselves enrolled particularly during special camps to be organized by the District Election officers.
They said that there are many people in rural and urban areas which need special assistance and as a responsible political party it is our responsibility to appoint our people to assist them.
The programme was attended by all organizational district presidents of Jammu, Samba and Kathua, District presidents of Mahila wing, SC Cell, OBC Cell, Labour Union, Youth wing and Block presidents.
