NC shall bring special schemes, plans for weaker sections: Vijay Lochan

RAMNAGAR, July 1: The present Government has completely failed to protect the rights of people as well as weaker sections of the society in the J&K, their party shall bring special schemes and plans for weaker sections.
This was stated by Vijay Lochan, Chairman JKNC SC Cell, while addressing a day long convention at Ramnagar, held here today.
The convention was held under the Chairmanship of Ram Parshotam Sharma, District President Udhampur Rural.
Speaking on the occasion, Ram Parshotam Sharma, apprised senior party functionaries of the problems faced by people of remote areas which include non-availability of basic amenities, unemployment, irregular power and water supply, local health centers and deplorable conditions of roads.
Addressing workers convention, Vijay Lochan said that the entire regions are facing great challenges due to mis-governance and anti-people policies of the present administration.
He expressed great disappointment against the J&K administration for its negative attitude towards the people and alleged that the present administration is not showing the least concern to address the pressing burning issues of this section of the society.
Lochan observed that the poverty rate is increasing day by day in the J&K and said that justice has denied to Dalits in the UT.
“The poor and Dalit people have been crunched socially and economically under the BJP regime due to which the future of Dalits and other backward communities are dark in Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
Lochan asserted that the National Conference has always remained committed to protect the rights of SC/ ST and weaker sections of the society in the past and shall continue to do the same in future too.
Among others who were present included, Ch. Mohd Shafi and Rajesh Gupta, Rakesh Singh Raka, Vijay Laxmi Datta, Prem Nath Kissan, Mushtaq Malik, B.D Sharista, Yashpal Singh, Akash Kumar and Rama Gupta.
