Jammu, Jan 24: The workers of National Conference have always cherished to strengthen the party and render sincere, selfless public service and power has never remained their goal but achieving welfare of the general people has been their benchmark, said Devender Singh Rana, Provincial President National Conference, Jammu province while chairing meeting of District Working Committees of District Poonch, Rajouri Rural and Urban spanning twelve hours at party headquarters Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan.
Rana said National Conference has been the fortress of people of Jammu and Kashmir all along working and struggling for their rights and honour. He said peace, progress and equitable development of all regions, sub-regions of the State and holistic welfare of people has remained the buzzword of political agenda of National Conference.
“This party has all along struggled and contributed for the solidarity and integrity of the State along with inculcation of nationalism in the people. The historic role of National Conference for strengthening the pluralistic ethos and nurturing brotherhood among all sections of the society is a glaring one and looms large on the political spectrum of Jammu and Kashmir”, said Rana.
“We have always stood like monolith against communalism, casteism and regionalism and would continue to work for unity and prosperity of the people of the State irrespective of any consideration”, he said.
The provincial president said that the high principles laid down by the founder father of National Conference and towering leader of Jammu and Kashmir Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah for building peaceful and modern Jammu and Kashmir are guiding force for the party to seek inclusive development in the State.
“It is the time for the youth to learn a lesson from the history and come forward to strengthen National Conference so that a classless society with peace and prosperity its only target is achieved under the banner of National Conference representing the aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
“Let us all together take the message of the Omar Abdullah led Coalition Government to the grass root and make people aware about the great initiatives taken by the State Coalition Government under the leadership of Omar Abdullah”, he said.
The NC Provincial President said these initiatives would transform the socio-economic condition of the State besides seeking peaceful addressing of all the political issues of Jammu and Kashmir in a peaceful manner in accordance with the aspirations of all sections of the society.
Addressing the party workers, Vice Presidents, Peer Mushtaq Ahmed Bukhari and Rattan Lal Gupta called upon the party rank and file to fan in their respective areas and increase public rapport and told them to be actively involved in the implementation of development policy of the Coalition Government.
Central Secretary Kr. Rachpal Singh said National Conference is a party of common masses the roots of which are spread across the State and no one can damage its popular base. He asked the party workers to strengthen the party in their respective areas.
Radhay Sham Sharma, Vice Chairman Kissan Advisory Board asked the party workers to exhibit their unity and discipline while working for the party.
Addressing the meeting, Ajaz Jan, MLA Poonch said that the policies and programmes of National Conference and the State Coalition Government are receiving wholehearted support by the people in general and youth in particular in all the three regions of the State.
Javed Rana, MLC urged the party workers to unite themselves, visit their respective areas and make people aware of the historic achievements and peace initiatives taken by the Omar led Government and ascertain public feedback regarding the development process.
Addressing the meetings, Shenaz Ganai MLC said that the State is passing through an era of progress and unprecedented development unparallel in the history of the State and it is high time that the party workers should take programme and policies of the party and the State Coalition Government to the masses.
The meetings were also addressed by Ex-MPs Mirza Abdul Rashid, Ch. Talib Hussain besides legislators, ex-legislators, Provincial President Women Wing, contested candidates, district presidents, block presidents and other prominent office bearers of the districts.
