JAMMU, Sept 20: National Conference would fight forthcoming Local Bodies elections on the good-governance and revolutionary development measures taken by Omar Abdullah led Coalition Government in the State.
Addressing party workers here today, provincial president Rattan Lal Gupta said Local Bodies play a great role in urban development and the party would contest the coming LB elections on the plank of good governance and massive development. Mr Gupta projected the achievements of the Government during the last three and half years headed by dynamic and young leader Omar Abdullah.
Mr Gupta further said that NC aims at strengthening unity of the people living in different parts of the State and amelioration of lot of down trodden masses irrespective of their colour, religion, region or language. He called upon the people to strengthen the party for better development of the State. The NC leader criticized the opposition for airing rumours and misleading people. The people are wise enough and understand their designs. Several other party leaders also spoke on the occasion.
