NC using false narratives to create impediments in development: BJP

JAMMU, Oct 13: Former MLC and JK UT spokesperson of BJP, Girdhari Lal Raina termed National Conference (NC) as deceptive, devious and undemocratic dynast that is using falsehood to create impediments in development of Jammu and Kashmir and India as a whole.
Perturbed by flop shows on 10th of October 2023 when people of Jammu once again rejected and ignored narrow minded, self-centred political parties and leader of Jammu Kashmir, National Conference has fielded provincial president to divert attention of the public, said GL Raina in a statement issued here, today.
He recalled that these parties had announced protest with much fanfare but witnessing a poor response to their call even leaders who announced the protest did not turn up. Instead of realising and amending their faulty, anti-democratic, anti-poor and dynastic politics these out-of-power politicians are deflecting attention by spreading false & fake narratives, added Raina.
Terming statement of NC and its leadership as repeating lies that the election to the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC)-Kargil was the first poll held after Ladakh was carved out as a Union Territory following the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution. The fact is that election to the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC)-Leh was held in 2020, Ex-MLC stressed.
The Bharatiya Janata Party won elections, securing victory in 15 out of 26 seats, while NC could not win even a single seat, he reminded. Was not that rejection of the NC and its divisive and communal politics, asked the BJP spokesperson?
Further first ever District Development Council (DDC) elections held in December 2020 long after historic Constitutional changes BJP not only emerged as the single largest party but also received the highest vote share, winning seats in both Jammu province and Kashmir division. That was the people’s stamp of approval in the most explicit way in favour of policies of BJP.
