SRINAGAR: Former Union Minister and National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah today said that his party was willing to offer its help and support to anybody, who wanted to alleviate the suffering of the people and end the political turmoil in the State.
However, local media quoted Dr Abdullah saying, “I ask these Hurriyat leaders to unite. Move ahead, my party is with you at this hour.” “But he quickly added that NC was not ready to tread on the wrong path,” Dr Abdullah added.
“NC will help and support any effort to find a way out of the last twenty-five years of bloodshed and suffering,” Dr Abdullah said while addressing his party workers after offering Fateha of former chief minister Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah in a commemorative function held here on his 111th birth anniversary.
“NC has always believed in struggling for the common man and we will continue to treat public-service as our guiding light. I exhort all of you to continue reaching out to the masses and offer assistance, support and solidarity in overcoming the challenges they are faced with,” Dr Abdullah added. (AGENCIES)
