JAMMU, Nov 19: A meeting of women workers of National Conference (NC) was held at village Khotli-Charka, block Bishnah, which was chaired by MLA Bimla Luthra.
Various problems and demands of women folk of the village were discussed in the meeting. Better road connectivity, fresh BPL survey, widow pension and opening of tailoring centre were some of the issues, which were discussed in the meeting.
Bimla gave a patient hearing to the women folk and assured that all type of assistance would be provided to them for developmental activities. She appealed the Government to conduct a fresh survey to identify BPL people in the far flung areas, as most deserving cases have not been given place in the BPL lists.
