JAMMU, Aug 14: State general secretary of the PDP, Nadeem Ahmed Khan has alleged that several National Congress leaders and workers are in habit of issuing threats to the Government officers posted in tehsil Mendhar and also create trouble there for their vested interests.
Addressing a press conference at party headquarters here today, Mr Khan ( advocate) alleged that private secretary of National Conference MLC can not dare alone to abuse a Tehsildar and make attempt to grab over 10 kanal of Government land without the consent or support of his boss. He said it is shameful that people in the ruling alliance are threatening the officers for their life and creating trouble in the smooth functioning of the Administration.
The PDP leader further alleged that it is not ‘sweets’ (Laddu) that any officer will place in the plate of any NC leader. It is question of Government land worth lakhs and other party people, media and general public is vigilant enough today. He alleged that now Tehsildar Subash Dogra is being pressurized by some senior politicians of the ruling party and bureaucrats/officers at the top to go for a compromise as the incident has exposed the deeds of NC people. Mr Khan alleged that earlier also when Javed Rana was MLA, he had tried to grab 3 kanal of a Govt Nursery land at Mendhar, which was later cancelled by Accountability Commission, the then headed by Justice Sethi.
